Shizuko Greenblatt Artist and Designer

Born in Japan to an ancient samurai family, Shizuko Greenblatt was raised in an environment that emphasized and honored the arts.She graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo, then came to the United States to continue her education at UCLA. Later she became a certified interior designer and worked in the field for more than 20 years. Recognized with multiple awards, many articles and publication from the press, Greenblatt's art is held in both private and public collections around the world. It has been my privilege and honor to follow Shizuko Greenblatt's art career since 2009 . Shizuko explores numerous design elements in her work to create amazing installations, sculptures, photographic prints and a serious collection of paintings within which she includes her Japanese heritage. Shizuko Greenblatt is February's Featured Artist for the Van Hook Foundation.
